What will 125 watts per channel give you?

Read on and get the scoop straight from a tech about how this new baby performs:

“My first hours with Amp.  I immediately connected Amp to a pair of Legacy Audio Focus SE speakers to see how Amp performs in 2 channel mode.  The sound was very detailed and full. Bass impact was impressive. Imaging was also very impressive. I found myself searching for more songs to play as I couldn’t believe how well Amp was powering these monster tower speakers!

I then proceeded to do an A/B comparison of Connect:Amp and Amp. Same speakers, volume, and demo tracks. There is no comparison.

While the Connect:Amp sounded pretty good, it only lasted a few minutes before shutting down in protection mode.

“Over-driving your amp can cause internal damage and even when digital Living installs more than 1 pair of speakers to a Connect Amp, we use a speaker selector with impedance matching to ensure the amp doesn’t go into protection mode.” Founder Derich marsh Digital Living.

I immediately noticed that the detail, impact, and clarity of the music was now missing.  Another interesting find was the amount of heat, or lack thereof, that Amp produced. After about 4 hours of music at about 80% volume, the Amp was warm at best. Very efficient power supply!”

“When designing a Sonos system you want to make sure your aren’t shorting yourself with power. Digital Living approaches Sonos systems with design in mind, every time. We have customers that want to rock out in a room and if that is the case and they want clean, crisp sounds, we use a amp designed for producing a good amount of power with a Sonos Connect (non-amp). Then you still get the world class Sonos experience with a sound your cant best.” Founder of digital living, Derich Marsh

As we left the driveway of our Digital Living Smart Home scene last week, we were a single person enjoying a quiet morning alone.

Today, we will imagine how your Digital Living Certified Smart Home can help your kids mornings go a little smoother.

So we already know that as a parent we will have a great start as we sing along to our fave song in the shower while our coffee brews. As our rooms are slowly brightening and waking us up in the way we would like, we can also customize a wake-up scene for each child.

Betty, “15, and so over waking up for school” might be more inclined to hop out of bed if she had a special scene created just for her. She can wake up to her favorite song playing on the in-wall speakers near the head of her bed. Her lights can be programmed to brighten slowly, or if she would prefer them to turn on instantly to give her that wake-up jolt she feels she might prefer, we can do that. She can set a second alarm and her music can follow her into her powder room making mornings “bearable at least”.  Oh, and those inwall speakers… they can also be used as an intercom for Mom. “Betty… it’s time to come down now. Breakfast is ready.”

Tim, who is 8, loves to wake up to his morning light show coupled with his favorite theme song from his favorite superhero movie. As the colored lights dance to the tune he can’t help but be compelled to jump out of bed. Mom can also let him know she has his breakfast waiting downstairs using his inwall speakers.

We’d love to hear from you. What ideas will your kids have for morning wake up scenes to help them transition?

Let us install your Digital Living Certified Smart Home and get your day started right.

It’s no big secret that technology is creating modern-day advantages in the work environment, but what about in the home? The question most people ask is, how? How will technology help me in everyday home life? What advantages will I gain by integrating my home?

Join me on a quest to discover new ways Digital Living and technology can help you smoothly transition throughout your day.Digital Living - CEDIA Member is the preferred custom electronics, audio video, home theater, smart home provider in California digitalliving.com

I have to admit I have been living in the dark ages. (Insert eye roll emoji here.) I am a child of the 80’s. If we wanted to hang out with friends, we had to find them first. I remember riding my bike from my home to my friends home only to discover she wasn’t there. So on to the park downtown… again, not there. Where to now? Where could she be? If only there was a way to find her without having to ride my bike all over the town. Enter the cell phone.

I am reminded of a great movie, “Desk Set” with Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. It’s a 1957 flick where Katharine’s character, an extremely knowledgeable research clerk for a television network, is in danger of losing her job to a computer.  People call her and the other women in the department and ask random questions much like we ask Siri today. What are the names of Santa’s reindeer? How many inches in a mile?  The computer in this movie takes up almost the whole entire department she works in. Today we hold in our hands, smartphones that contain more power than any one of the late 50’s would have thought possible.

So what’s my point by all this? Like some of you out there, I was not aware of all the possibilities that living in a smart home could offer. I was living the life of Katherine Hepburn in Desk Set, thinking technology was my enemy. It is here to help.

Remember how I mentioned seamlessly enjoying life? Every day we go through many transitions. Let Digital Living help you integrate your home to perform for you making some of these transitions feel less stressful and more, seamless.

Here are some suggested ways your Digital Living Certified Smart Home can help give you back the gift of time helping you seamlessly live life.

Start your morning off right.

Imagine warm soft lighting set to turn on with your morning alarm that gradually brightens as you wake up. Helping to smoothly transition you from sleep to wakefulness in a peaceful way. The floor starts to warm under your feet as the in-floor heating kicks in on those cool winter mornings. As you make your way to the shower your favorite song is cued when you open the door, encouraging you to have a great day. Don’t worry, we didn’t forget the coffee, your coffee maker was set to go off with your alarm and has fresh brew waiting for you.

Join me each week as I post new ways your Digital Living Certified Smart Home will help make your life seamless.
